Installation

To use the Formulayt Chrome Plugin, install it from the Chrome Webstore.

After installation, the plugin will appear in your Chrome toolbar. You'll need to log in using your Formulayt account credentials. If you are already logged into Formulayt's admin website, you will be logged into the Chrome plugin.

Features

The Formulayt Chrome Plugin scans web pages for gates and provides key information including:

  • Gate ID

  • Gate Type

  • CTAs

  • Form Type

Accessing the Formulayt platform

The plugin dropdown menu includes a direct link to the Formulayt platform. This gives you quick access to:

  • Create new gates

  • Find links to Formulayt features

The plugin also detects whether the Formulayt install script is present on the page you're viewing.

Highlighting gates

Click on any gate in the plugin list to highlight it on the webpage. This makes it easy to locate gates visually. If the gate has been embedded as a modal, the triggering element (link) will be highlighted. If the gate has been embedded inline, the gate itself will be highlighted.

Sometimes it may not be possible to highlight a gate or element because it is hidden on the page, this is common if elements change visibility due to response page design.

Editing gates

To edit a gate, click the pencil icon next to the gate. This takes you directly to the gate editor in the Formulayt platform.

Customizing the plugin

You can customize which gate information appears in the plugin:

  1. Go to Setup > Settings > Chrome Plugin in your Formulayt account

  2. Select which gate attribute values should display in the plugin

Note: Gate name, form type, gate type, and language are always displayed regardless of customization.
