Specialized form modes

In specific scenarios, you may need to disable pre-population. Formulayt provides two specialized modes for these situations

Kiosk mode

Ideal for collecting information at physical events or shared devices, Kiosk Mode prevents form fields from retaining information between submissions.

To enable Kiosk Mode:

  1. Navigate to your target form

  2. Open the gate editor

  3. Select the form tab

  4. Enable the Kiosk mode checkbox

  5. Save your changes

Express mode

Express Mode optimizes gate loading times by bypassing the external pre-population data wait period.

Key characteristics:

  • Browser-based pre-population remains active

  • External data sources won't be queried

  • Geo-IP and marketing automation platform data won't be accessed

  • Significantly improves form loading speed

This mode is valuable for high-visibility forms where loading speed is crucial.

To implement Express Mode:

  1. Contact your account manager to enable this feature

  2. Navigate to your target form

  3. Open the gate editor

  4. Select the form tab

  5. Enable the Express Mode checkbox

  6. Save your changes

When to use each mode

Use kiosk mode when:

  • Forms are used on shared devices

  • You're collecting leads at events or trade shows

  • Multiple users complete forms sequentially on the same device

  • Privacy concerns require clearing data between users

Use express mode when:

  • Form loading speed is critical

  • External data isn't essential for form completion

  • You want to minimize dependencies on external systems

  • High-traffic landing pages need optimal performance
