Formulayt uses multiple caching layers to improve performance and platform resilience by storing data closer to users. This article explains the different types of caches used and how to clear them when necessary.
Browser cache
Items such as gate settings and platform configuration are stored in your browser. If you make updates to a gate but can't see these changes on a live web page, you may need to clear your browser cache.
To clear your browser cache, follow the instructions for your specific browser:
Edge cache
Formulayt stores configuration information needed in web browsers in an Edge Cache (also known as a CDN). Edge caching moves web assets (scripts or data files) closer to users at the network's edge while maintaining them in a central server location.
This approach allows end users to retrieve data much more efficiently. If changes to gates, form types, translations, etc. are taking time to appear on a web page, it may be because the system is waiting for the Edge Cache to clear (which happens automatically).
When you clear the application cache as described above, it should also trigger the edge cache to clear.
