The Modal Sidebar adds a configurable panel alongside your modal gate, providing additional space for promotional content, supporting information, or branded imagery without affecting the form itself.
Availability: The Modal Sidebar is available on selected subscriptions or as an optional add-on. To enable this feature, please contact your Account Manager.
What Can You Use the Modal Sidebar For?
The Modal Sidebar is ideal for displaying:
Company branding and logos
Promotional messaging
Product or campaign imagery
Key benefits or selling points
Supporting information
Calls to action
The sidebar appears to the left of the gate and is displayed alongside the form when the modal opens.
Setting up the Modal Sidebar
To enable the Modal Sidebar for your account please raise a ticket with the Support team.
Once enabled in your account this can be toggled on, or off, for specific form types
It only applies to modal gates, if a gate is deployed inline, the sidebar will not be displayed.
Content can be updated under Messaging in the gate editor
Styling the Modal Sidebar
The Modal Sidebar can be customised using the Formulayt Styling Area.
The following CSS classes are available:
CSS Class | Description |
gcdc-modal-sidebar | Targets the sidebar content area. |
gcdc-gate-with-sidebar | Applied to the Gate wrapper whenever a sidebar is displayed. |
These classes can be used to apply account-specific styling such as colours, typography, spacing, backgrounds, and imagery.
