Formulayt's translation management capabilities enable enterprises to deliver localized form experiences while maintaining global governance. This guide explains how to update translations across your form estate.
To get started click Setup > Translations.
In the translations are you will see a list of the translation IDs and their values.
You can export and import translations by using the buttons on the top right.
To edit a translation click the 'Select a language button'.
The edit translations window shows the default value of the field and provides a text box where you can add your translation. When you are done click update and preview or publish your changes.
Important note about translation indexing
When creating or editing fields with user-facing text, this text must be indexed by the Formulayt platform before it appears in the translations area. To do this:
Preview a gate and trigger the new/updated text to show within our admin area.
For field labels, simply view the form.
For picklist values set by a rule, trigger the rule.
For custom content updated by a rule, trigger the rule.
For validation/error messages, trigger the message to display.
For example, if you have a validator to prevent letters in a phone number field, type a letter into that field to index the error message. Translation indexing only runs in the Formulayt admin area, not on external pages.
